MutinyNet is a custom signet run by the Mutiny team with a block every 30 seconds instead of every 10 minutes. Lightning channels open and settle in seconds, which is why much of the Lightning, Ark and Spark tooling develops against it.
It uses different chain parameters from the default signet, so a wallet needs to support custom signets to use this server. Sparrow, BDK-based wallets and LDK builds do; stock Bitcoin Core does not.
What people use it for
- Developing Lightning applications that need many confirmations per hour.
- Testing against the same chain Mutiny, Spark and Ark developers use, so behaviour matches upstream.
- Fast end-to-end demos: fund, spend, confirm, all within a minute.
How we run it
Point a signet-capable wallet at it (MutinyNet is a signet with different chain parameters: Sparrow, BDK and LDK builds that support custom signets work; stock Bitcoin Core does not).
