What it is
A Lightning address looks like an email address and lets anyone pay you over Lightning without asking for an invoice first. Behind it is LNURL-pay: the payer's wallet fetches a small JSON document from the domain, asks it for an invoice of the chosen amount, and pays. LUD-21 adds a verify step so the payer can confirm the payment settled.
This one is our own, served from our infrastructure rather than a custodial provider, which is the point: the domain owner controls the endpoint, so the funds land where they say.
What people use it for
- Receiving tips, donations or invoices with one memorable string.
- Testing a wallet's Lightning-address support against a known-good endpoint.
- Seeing what a self-hosted LNURL-pay endpoint returns, step by step, with curl.
How we run it
Any Lightning wallet can pay [email protected]. We can host addresses on your domain: CNAME it at our well-known service.
