Bitcoin Core P2P
Unpruned, txindex, accepting inbound peers.
Connect
addnode=112.213.33.201:8333What it is
Bitcoin's peer-to-peer network is how nodes learn about new transactions and blocks: each node connects to a handful of others and relays what it validates. A node that accepts inbound connections is doing the network a favour, because a new node needs peers to download the chain from and a wallet's node needs peers to hear transactions.
This is our unpruned Bitcoin Core node with the transaction index on. Adding it as a peer gives you one connection you know the operator of, alongside the random ones your node finds by itself.
What people use it for
- Speeding up a new node's initial download by pointing it at a well-connected peer.
- Keeping a home node reachable when its own inbound port is blocked.
- A known peer for monitoring block propagation or mempool differences.
How we run it
Bitcoin Core on our mempool VM, advertised on the public IP. Add it as a peer or just let the network find it.
